Snout & Settle started with one restless dog and a chewed-up sofa. Like a lot of UK owners, we walked our dog twice a day and still came home to barking, pacing and destruction. The problem wasn't bad behaviour — it was boredom.

Dogs are built to forage. When they use their nose to "hunt" for hidden food, it engages the mind in a way a food bowl never can. Fifteen minutes of sniffing can tire a dog mentally like a long walk — and a mentally tired dog is a calm, settled dog.

We were tired of cheap mats with rigid plastic bases that cracked, seams that tore, and felt that came loose. So we built ours differently: double-stitched seams, no rigid base, pet-safe materials, and fully machine-washable.
